We get asked a lot of questions regarding both our products and the service we offer.
The products we have available are suited for a range of requirements and are perfectly suited for use in firepits, chimeneas, pizza ovens and BBQs. This ensures we have a solution for all our customers and with a friendly, professional team, it is no wonder so many of our clients keep coming back to us for future log supply.

Questions on Products
What size are Charlie’s logs?
There are different sizes between our range of season hardwood logs and kiln dried logs. Season hardwood logs are available in sizes ranging from 6 to 8 inches and 10 to 12 inches. You are also able to purchase these logs in a mixture if you require different sizes. Our kiln dried logs come in one size only and that is 9 to 10 inches.
How many logs are in a bulk bag?
We have two different sizes when it comes to ordering a bulk bag. We have an option for half a load (one bulk builder bag) which contains approximately 120 to 150 logs depending on the size. We also have a full load of logs (two bulk builders bags) which has approximately 240 to 300 logs depending on the size.
What's the difference between Seasoned Hardwood Logs and Kiln Dried Logs?
The difference between the two kinds of logs is the moisture of them. Seasoned logs have a moisture of 23% or below which is more than kiln dried logs. They instead have a moisture content of 18% or below.
Can I come and pick some logs up?
Due to safety reasons, we do not permit for customers to pick up their logs. This is due to the machinery we have in operation.
How should I store my Kiln Dried Firewood?
We keep your logs covered during storage and delivery to ensure they are kept dry. Letting them absorb too much moisture can result in the log not burning as well due to the log needing to burn out the excess moisture. Instead, logs will need to be stored in a dry area where they will stay before use. Doing this will ensure you get the best heat out of them.
As a FREE service, we stack your logs on delivery if we can access your log storage area via wheelbarrow. We will even provide a free plastic sheeting if requested at order to keep your logs dry.
Note for customers: Our free stacking service is not available two weeks before Christmas.
Do your logs come from a sustainable forestry?
All wood that we receive is licensed to be cut down by the forestry commission. This ensures for a quality product and a sustainable wood supply.
How are your logs treated?
Our logs are not treated.

Does Charlie's Logs deliver to my area?
At the bottom of this page and on our delivery page of this website, you will find an image that shows the different areas we reach and if there is a charge for us to deliver to your area. However, if you do not see your postcode, get in contact with us and we will see if we can arrange something suitable for us to get to you.
How will my logs be delivered?
All our logs are delivered loose to your property and as mentioned before, can be stacked in a storage area if wheelbarrow access is possible.
When do you deliver?
We deliver our products from 8am in the morning to 8pm at night, seven days a week. Depending on the booking times and availability, we even offer next day delivery.
Do I need to be in when the delivery is made?
You do not have to be in when we deliver your logs. However, we do need to be informed of this and you will need to arrange it so we know where to store the logs.
Can you put the logs in my log store / shed / back garden?
If there are no steps and we have wheelbarrow access to your storage area, we can store and stack your logs on delivery. It is down to the driver and the distance they have to travel on whether we will be able to store them as well.
Questions on Ordering
Can I change my order before it's delivered?
You can change your order as long as it has not been loaded into the van, ready for delivery. If you require a change to your order, contact us as soon as possible to get it changed.
I’ve made a mistake in my order; can I correct it?
If you have made a mistake in your order and require changing it, as mentioned above, you will need to contact us as soon as possible to see if the order can be corrected.
